GUESS THE FETUS!!

Okey I just can’t wait until my next OB/GYN appointment on the 11th! I have another ultrasound like I’ve mentioned before and it’s all I can think about right now. But that’s partly because I bought a bunch of baby clothes for my brother’s baby boy (due in October) that came today, I ordered from the Children’s Place Monster Sale. I got 12 items (including tiny cargo shorts, t-shirts & onesies) for $41, that includes tax & shipping! I almost want to keep a few items for myself…if well my little cupcake is a boy!

So I decided to keep up my “OMG WHAT IS THIS FETUS INSIDE ME?” spirit up, I would have a Guess the Fetus contest! So go ahead and guess the fetus’ sex. I’ll answer any questions that might “help” you guess the sex! And I know there will be multiple “winners” but if you guess the sex correct your name will go into a drawing for a $25 amazon.com gift certificate!

Oh okey alright

So we have a tropical storm coming our way so the grocery stores are cleared out, seriously do people not keep food in their house? LOL I went to pick up just a few things on my list and quite a few things were just not there, water is totally wiped out but luckily I have enough bottled water. There were some snacks for Bruce I wanted to get and they were all out…but they had tons on sale for 50-75% off so…yeah he got 3 bags of chew treats. Oh man check out my freebies for this week, I did awesome!

My baby bump is showing! I was at the washeteria getting change & talking to the lady who works there about how hot it was that day (105*F), then she blurts out “So when are you due?” haha I always have the dumbest look on my face & feel like I have a sign on my head saying “Baby on Board!”.  On the 11th we miiight find out the sex of the little cupcake, another ultrasound! Yay!

Weekly Round-Up!

Sooo  a lot of you guys have asked about my couponing, how much I actually get, spend, etc. I really can’t explain coupon, it’s something that you have to figure out what’s best for you. I’ve been trying to keep my spending to under $100 a week, this week I am right under $50. You might be wondering where the meat & meals are…well I am actually stocked up on that well enough where I didn’t need to buy any meat or meal stuff. By the way OOP = Out of Pocket. Couponing isn’t something you can just grab a bunch of coupons & just go to the grocery store…you need to look at sales, prices, etc. For CVS I find great deals on HCW and order coupons a few weeks ahead of time so I can get multiples of each items.

Oh man! You’re making what?

When I was little there were always meals that me & my brother would get excited over my mom making, you know those meals that didn’t get cooked that often because they take too long in the kitchen? Well my ultimate favorite was lasagna, my mom wouldn’t pop one of those frozen ones in the oven (even those take 45 mins!)!! So I was cooking lasagna on Friday and called JP to tell him & when he just boringly said “cool”. My jaw dropped and I was just blurted out “Aren’t you excited??”. He just laughed and said lasagna wasn’t that big of a deal, so I explained how lasagna was the “special” thing in my heart that I remember getting excited over he thought it over and couldn’t really remember a food like that  growing up. But he did let me in on his exciting food that I make for him…those mini-meatloaves (i could have sworn I posted the recipe?)! I make them maybe once a month…maybe. But they are so easy I was surprised I didn’t know before hand that he liked them so much, I know they always dissappear quick & he’ll even take them as leftovers. I’ll be surpising him with those taste meatloaves for dinner…along with mashed potatoes! :) YUM!

So what was that food that you would get excited over when you were younger? Or even now?

Cleaning the house?

Today I was cleaning the bathtub which seems to get a ring around it every 2-3 days (I believe it’s the water in this area of town) & every few days I have to scrub it down. Spraying all those cleaning supplies in the tub though can sure make a girl feel light headed. And I was thinking this really can’t be good for the baby or me… I’m inhaling all these horrible chemicals that are probably 40x stronger then I actually even need them to be.

Have you ever cleaned the house and had a choking/coughing spree because the overwhelming smell of all the products? Well I do almost everyday that I clean (not saying I clean house everyday…cause Lord knows I don’t) and after reading a few things on natural cleaning products I thought to go to organic cleaners….but the price is so high for anything natural or organic. So I did research and decided that once I use up all of my multi-purpose cleaners (I only have 3 bottles at the moment, which go quick because they clean for every room in the house) I will start making my own multi-purpose cleaners out of things that won’t have me in a choking frenzy just because I want to clean the tub.

It’s just a more environmentally friendly & body friendly way of doing things. I know I sound like a big hippy to so many people around me, but being pregnant has just made me want to take the next step in helping our planet. And it’s better then spending a butt load of money on cleaners…I bet I could max out a credit card on all the cleaning supplies I use a year. LOL Oh speaking of credit cards I found this really cool website that has all types of credit cards & credit card information. I’d really like something with airline miles…that would be wonderful..just wonderful :)

I was thinking to start writing pieces on how you can become more environmentally friendly & it actually fit in with your life style. Would anyone be interested in those?

Hellllooo Waste of Time!

Go ahead and waste some time.

Yummy Turkey Casserole!!

So planning my dinners this week I wanted to spend the least amount of the time as possible in the kitchen as possible, it’s hot…my kitchen gets HOT! I’m actually sweating through my t-shirt after preparing dinner. But while putting together the recipe…I actually tweaked it so much that you wouldn’t even be able to tell I used the recipe I did. That actually happens to me quite often, but I can’t be the only one who changes up the recipe to make it even yummier (because it’s always yummier!). And because I’m in a great mood (er not lazy) I decided to post the recipe to share with everyone. :)

Ooey Gooey Dinner

Ooey Gooey Dinner

Change it up by adding some fresh or frozen veggies or alternating cheese (sharp cheddar or gouda would be good :)

Baby talk, baby talk, blah blah

Am I tiring everyone out on baby talk just yet? If not, well here is another baby post. Yesterday was my 3 month appointment. I wasn’t sure exactly what to expect but I now know I’m going to be peeing in a cup every time so I’ll have to start bringing something to drink because I can’t drink room temperature water. So I had questions about my lack of meat eatting, if I could have sushi, how often, etc. And it all looks good, he okey’d me for sushi once a week & I can get my protein through milk, beans & my alternative meat products. So after talking he told me lay down and we’ll listen to the babies heartbeat. My heart dropped & then fluttered away when I heard my little cupcakes heartbeat. It was overwhelming hearing my babies heartbeat. And I was told that I’ll be having an ultrasound on my next appointment…and we might even be able to tell the sex of the baby!!! O-M-G! I’m very excited & just can’t wait!! :)

Oh and with my night (and now all day) sickness I lost a bit of weight sadly, but with my vitamins &  eatting 6 small meals a day I should be able to get back on track with food. I found a food last night that REALLY hit the spot and easy on the stomach…. bagel with cream cheese! Of course with a mug of milk! :) JP was so sweet and went to the store for me last night for bagels & cream cheese because that’s the ONLY thing I could even think of that I could eat. And it seriously hit the spot, I’m actually about to have a bagel for breakfast right now! :) Everyone have a wonderful day!! :)

Well it’s official…

I really didn’t think I was showing as much as I am, I’m not one to ogle myself in the mirror and obsess over ever pound. Although I haven’t gained any weight at all, my stomach is getting a roundish eggish thing. And I was showing J.P., he just shrugged and said “I guess”. Well I went to CVS to pick up some garbage bags (can’t believe we ran out!) & when I was checking out with a nice girl who works there who I actually love checking out with (not the mean lady who hates me saving money)…okey wait where was I? Oh yeah well I was swiping my card, making small talk & she just casually goes “So do you know if it’s a girl or boy?”. My jaw DROPPED and I whispered “how’d you know?!”. She laughed saying she seems me in the store all the time and she noticed my stomach, I just laughed and told her I don’t find out until September.

Well I thought that was hiliarious and couldn’t wait to tell J.P. when he gets home from playing basketball, well when I’m coming in the house I notice my downstairs neighor was pulling in & had her dog with her. So I decided to say hello & since I haven’t seen her dog in forever I played with him. Then she asked very quietly if I was pregnant & then my due date. LOL HARLARIOUS!!!!! :) Okey well I have to go do “chores” so see you guys later.

Well this isn’t fun…

Since I’ve been pregnant I’ve been so lazy and tired….my house is a mess. A total mess and I’m so ashamed of how my house looks. I have papers everywhere, all my tables are covered in mess. I wish I could get out of my funk, today I made myself a lengthy to-do list and even if I get half done I’ll be excited. :) I’m already off to a not so wonderful start by waking up a hour later though. I’m going to crank the music up once Gilmore Girls is finished up, this is my ultimate favorite show. Okey well I’m off to watch this show and then clean the house. :)
