Selling my things on craigslist has been a great source of entertainment! Answering oodles of emails, setting up meeting times, getting stood up and of course inviting people in to rough up my goodies (talking about the things I’m selling…perv). Well today I got an email from a firefighter who wanted to purchase my bike for his wife, she forwarded him my listing & hinted at it being a Mother’s Day. So he stopped by today, checks the bike out and asks me some questions about it. I had a soft spot for him buying it for his wife so I knocked $25 off the price for him. He happily took it and carried it out our front door smiling. He came back just a few seconds later asking if I would send him an email saying that the bike had already been sold to throw his wife off. You see his wife had found out that he contacted me by going through and checking his e-mail. He wanted it to be a surprise. Awwww! Right? Well I sent an email saying “Hey Wifey of Firefighter. Your hubby bought the bike!”…..

Just kidding! I sent the “Sorry I sold it already but thanks for your interest” email. But I think it’s totally adorable how he is trying to throw her off and be all sneaky…sneaky in a good way. Not cheat on your wife sneaky because that’s just not cool.

Last piece of the baby story coming up tomorrow, thanks for reminding me guys! Mmmm and after reading Ree’s cooking posts on mac n cheese I’m going to need an appetite suppression.

So yesterday I posted tons of stuff on craigslist so I could clear the house for when we move. Sofas, dining set, bikes and much more. So far almost everything has gotten tons of replies except for my record player…which I think will just go to the garage sale. But I had a couple come over to look at the dining room set (which is listed at $250) and they offered me $100, I counter offered with $150. They came back a few minutes with $150 cash and I helped them to take the table apart then they thanked me for my time and told me they wish they could have bought the chairs too but they won’t fit. WAIT?! I thought I was selling the whole set for $150 not just the table. So now I have 6 dining chairs just sitting in my dining room… so I did better then I thought because I put that I would sell the table for $150 alone. Sooo I didn’t go down on the price at all! Oh my I am just sitting here giggling because I feel like such a ditz!

By the way craigslist will suck all the energy out of you, your email will be filled to the brim with people asking questions, trying to scam you & never showing up on time to pick-up. But you will more then likely make a quick buck! Okey now I need to go clean up and pile up all the disposable diapers that I got on sale…there are bags and bags of them that are just sadly in the corner.

Notice the new header? How about the new blog links on the left? I wanted to just keep all my coupon & savings shananagains on a seperate site along with large daily photos! That’s just how I roll. This blog will mainly be about me & my family happenings…a mommy blog I suppose. I’m a mommy blogger.  O_o Awwwkard, I never thought that when I started blogging 10 years ago that I would be blogging as a mother. Oh my how time flies by!

Okey I need to finish listing stuff on craigslist…the garage sale got away from me so I am going to try craigslist this week (already listed & sold our bikes!) & if I still have a buttload of stuff then I’ll do a garage sale before we move. Oh by the way we are moving on April 18th. Oh my that is coming up very fast & I have more things then I can even list to do.

Stupid Mondays. How I love thee. And I want to buy shoes…lots of shoes…maybe some Dansko.

Well our TV is out…has been for I don’t know like 3 weeks or so? We have a smaller TV we borrowed but the cable thing is broke so we can only plug up the PS3 and watch movies or play video games. Well I’ve been keeping up with “my” shows via internet. Oh my goodness & it doesn’t look half bad…well some of the sites atleast. CBS doesn’t have full episodes (only small clips) of The Big Bang Theory & their videos are a bit grainy. Anyone know where I can get full episodes to stream? Also on CBS the commercials can cover the video, it’s really weird. NBC has a great amount of videos and they all look pretty decent, a bit grainy but still very watchable on full screen. Buuut ABC…yes I saved the best for last. They are quick to load, look really great and the commercials are quick! They have hands down the best streaming videos, which is good because I have a few shows I like watching on there. BTW I have too many shows I like to watch but my favorites have to be Ugly Betty (darnit when will they show a new one though!?), The Office and My Boys! Oh does anyone know where I could also watch My Boys?

Okey enough talk about TV, I probably look like a couch potatoe but really I just like watching while working. And without commercials it’s so much quicker, that’s why I’m such a huge fan of TIVO.  :cute:

Right now I’m about to my plan my attack of today. I know for sure I need to do my grocery shopping, clean out some areas & get stuff organized for Saturday’s garage sale, post stuff on craigslist (eek forgot to do that over the weekend) & I need to clean out my car (I can hardly even see my rugs at this point). So a fun Mommy Monday, don’t you think? 

Oh man and Micah started the day off with the messiest blow out he could. After I finished changing and feeding him we were sitting on the sofa answering & reading emails. Well he let a huge fart rip, I could tell it would be a messy poop but OH MAN! Poop all the way up to his shoulders and crawling out the leg of his diaper. It was NASTY. I couldn’t even think to just change his clothes and wipe him down, so he had his bath first thing this morning because he had poop all over him! And now he is fed, clean and happily playing in his swing. Alright well I better get on with this day, I have much to do! Ohhh and Micah just said “hey readers!”….what? I told you I’m the baby whisper  :flip:

I’ve started making Saturday morning clean up time in the house, it’s something my mom used to do when I lived with her. Every Saturday morning before going anywhere or getting to watch any TV we would clean the house top to bottom. When it becomes a weekly thing the house just stays cleaner then you doing it daily, I don’t know why it works but it does. So JP will have the bathroom while I do the living & dining room, then while I do the kitchen I’ll have him dress Micah & get the clothes ready to go wash. JP is a little cleaning challenged but I’ve slowly got him to learn how to clean things. Today I think I am going to show him how to do the tub and the shower faucets. Last time he cleaned the bathroom he didn’t clean the shower so I ended up doing it myself instead of explaining what needed to be done. It’s usually just easier to do it yourself when you are as perticular as me. That’s why I usually do the cleaning because JP knows I’ll usually go behind him and re-do whatever he does. Like folding towels…why oh WHY can’t he just fold towels the way I like them? I sometimes thinks he’ll do chores wrong just to get out of them…anyone else suspect that of their husband? But there are two chores that are HIS. Taking out the trash and cleaning the litter box. Thank goodness & amen!

Oh man and this new Pledge Multi Surface is a dream. When I got home yesterday with it I decided I would try it out on a few different surfaces…freaking wonderful! It made every surface sparkle and look so clean!  Note the bathroom isn’t cleaned yet. Everyone have a super day!

Yes. True story. Then I changed my shirt. Have a super day! And I’ll leave you with my son’s happy little mug after his bath.

So me & JP have been talking about simplifying our lives. Right now we have a huge apartment filled with things we don’t even need or even use. It’s sad just how much “stuff” we have, yes it’s all just stuff. I have cabinets I haven’t even touched since we’ve moved in but they are full of “stuff”. And you know what I’m tired of it, I want to simplify, down-size, what ever you want to call it. I want LESS.

We are moving out of our 1600 sq ft apartment on the weekend of April 18th into a 700 sq ft apartment. Yeah, holy down sizing batman!  Less then half of our current apartment size. But you know we have a extra sofa sets & an over sized dining room table (seats 6 without the leaf in the middle) that never get used. Half of the kitchen, Micah’s room & the dining room don’t even get used. The living room is so big & spaced out that it doesn’t even feel cozy. This weekend I’ll be taking pictures of some of our larger items that we will be selling and try my hand at craigslist to see what I can sell. And then the first weekend of April I’m having a garage sale to get rid of everything we don’t need or use that wouldn’t be worth my time posting on craigslist. Whatever doesn’t sell at the garage sale will then go to goodwill. Hopefully we can make enough money to buy ourselves a new TV (the one I’m eying is a little less then $400) since ours blew out and it would cost less to buy a new TV then to repair our current one.

Writing this  has for some reason taken a huge weight off my shoulders. *deep breath out* I love how writing can just help you collect your thoughts and help clear out the mind.
