Scuttle still getting laughs..

Every time we watch The Little Mermaid this part gets big laughs from Micah. He loves older Disney movies, I think it’s all the music in them. Does it sadden anyone else that animated movies these days don’t have all the wonderful & catchy songs that they did before they were all done by computers?

how funny, Micah comes up to me with a sigh/pout at that part and just wants to hug. It’s so weird how in tune he is with emotions.

Disney movies will always be some of my favorites. Especially The Little Mermaid. Aladdin too. I don’t think movies will ever be as good as they used to be.

I’m a bit turned off by computer animated films. It’s not that they’re bad in and of themselves, but they’ve annihilated the production of their hand-drawn counterparts. Each kind of production has its distinct advantages (and disadvantages), so why aren’t we getting a diversity which would balance those out? I think we’re just too much a techno-happy people, for real lol; look at all the 3D films now, for instance. Films that don’t even benefit from being in 3D (“Step Up 3D”) are put out in that medium anyway, let’s hear it for competence. XD

Oh Brian I have to agree with you on your whole comment. The whole Step Up 3D…not cool at all. I went off on a complete rant to my husband after seeing a commercial for it, why would they even use the resources to make that into a 3D movie?!

One thing that bothers me about the computer animated cartoons is that there is no charm to them. I know it seems so absurd but I want songs , I want emotion, I want fairytales!

Alright I’m done, I have a complete rant about this topic in my blackberry somewhere…maybe I’ll find it (along with the other dozen rants/blog posts I have in it) & post it.
