I was talking to my dad about all his surgeries & misfortunes in health when this happened.
Dad: Atleast I haven’t had cancer.
Me: Um… yes you have.
Dad: No I haven’t.
Me: Yes….you had colon cancer…
Dad: Huh?
Me: In 2003…you & mom had cancer the same year.
Dad: Ohhh yeah… well hell I have had cancer…
Me: …..yeah…..
Dad: well shit.

So last week I asked about shoes..well the dress I was going to get at first ended up being too boring for me. So I ordered a different one & the ruffles swallowed me…it was horrible (getting returned). So the day of the event I had to run to Express and just find ANYTHING that would match the shoes I wore. And I ended up being pleases with my outfit, not exactly what I would have liked but was fun to wear. I’m not usually one for short dresses, high heels and all that…I’m usually in jeans & tshirts. It’s just more convenient for me…but I had to share my outfit for the party on Saturday. The dress & sweater are both from Express. The shoes are Nine West.
Family means different things to different people. Some people consider friends to be the closest family, some have huge families, some just a person or two. It’s amazing at how one word can be bent in so many ways for each individual. I’m just happy that I am blessed with a wonderful family. I consider JP’s family to be my family along with my immediate family. I’m surrounded by people who care for me & in turn I care just as much for them.
