Sooo a lot of you guys have asked about my couponing, how much I actually get, spend, etc. I really can’t explain coupon, it’s something that you have to figure out what’s best for you. I’ve been trying to keep my spending to under $100 a week, this week I am right under $50. You might be wondering where the meat & meals are…well I am actually stocked up on that well enough where I didn’t need to buy any meat or meal stuff. By the way OOP = Out of Pocket. Couponing isn’t something you can just grab a bunch of coupons & just go to the grocery store…you need to look at sales, prices, etc. For CVS I find great deals on HCW and order coupons a few weeks ahead of time so I can get multiples of each items.

Spent $14 on produce for the week

When I was little there were always meals that me & my brother would get excited over my mom making, you know those meals that didn’t get cooked that often because they take too long in the kitchen? Well my ultimate favorite was lasagna, my mom wouldn’t pop one of those frozen ones in the oven (even those take 45 mins!)!! So I was cooking lasagna on Friday and called JP to tell him & when he just boringly said “cool”. My jaw dropped and I was just blurted out “Aren’t you excited??”. He just laughed and said lasagna wasn’t that big of a deal, so I explained how lasagna was the “special” thing in my heart that I remember getting excited over he thought it over and couldn’t really remember a food like that growing up. But he did let me in on his exciting food that I make for him…those mini-meatloaves (i could have sworn I posted the recipe?)! I make them maybe once a month…maybe. But they are so easy I was surprised I didn’t know before hand that he liked them so much, I know they always dissappear quick & he’ll even take them as leftovers. I’ll be surpising him with those taste meatloaves for dinner…along with mashed potatoes! YUM!

So what was that food that you would get excited over when you were younger? Or even now?

So planning my dinners this week I wanted to spend the least amount of the time as possible in the kitchen as possible, it’s hot…my kitchen gets HOT! I’m actually sweating through my t-shirt after preparing dinner. But while putting together the recipe…I actually tweaked it so much that you wouldn’t even be able to tell I used the recipe I did. That actually happens to me quite often, but I can’t be the only one who changes up the recipe to make it even yummier (because it’s always yummier!). And because I’m in a great mood (er not lazy) I decided to post the recipe to share with everyone.

Ingredients:
- 1 LB of Ground Turkey (cooked)
- 12 oz of Egg Noodles (cook per package)
- 1 – 10.5 oz can of cream of chicken (undiluted)
- 1 – 10.5 oz can of cream of mushroom (undiluted)
- 1 LB of sour cream
- 2 cups of Mozzarella
- 1 1/2 cups of water

Directions:
Cook the noodles (per package details) & meat (until done).
Lightly grease casserole pan.
Dump all the ingredients into casserole pan, mix up until well blended.
Put into oven that is heated at 350* for 30 minutes.
YUM YUM EAT!!!!!

Change it up by adding some fresh or frozen veggies or alternating cheese (sharp cheddar or gouda would be good

So last night me & the hubby went to the Houston Rodeo to see Rascal Flatts…which I didn’t think I knew too many of there songs…WRONG! Here is some imagery to keep you occupied while I finish up some fun craft projects today. Oh and J.P. and myself were wondering how common rodeos are…have you ever been to one?

BTW the rodeo has carnival food + all the BBQ restaurants in the form of stands…*drools*
