The Christmas itch…
I know that Christmas isn’t for another 6 weeks or so but I’m getting the itch. Micah has been watching Christmas cartoons on Netflix. I’ve been finalizing my shopping lists. Getting decorations out to put up next Friday. Figuring out the gifts for Micah. Speaking of gifts for Micah. I’m going to get him a grill for Christmas but I can’t decide on which one of these I should get for him. Which one would you pick from these two? You can click the pictures to go to the websites & look at any details.
Stop repeating!!
Out of my 8 car rides today, this song was on during 6 of them! SIX! WTF? This song is on repeat on every pop station. My first time hearing it was this week & I am already SICK of it.
Reviews, giveaways & gluten free me.
I was wondering if I should make the reviews & giveaways a separate sub-blog? And then I thought that maybe I’d just keep the sponsored stuff on a sub-blog & anything I do myself (giveaways) I’d put on here… Or I could just keep it the way it is? You know what, you guys can just pick. Majority wins. Yup, passing the decision onto the readers…I think that’s the way to go. VOTE!
Alright gluten free. Where do I start? Let’s start that I’ve been successfully reducing my carb intake for the past 3 weeks. I’ve lost 8-10 lbs in that time with just not eating all those wonderful carbs (and sweets) that I’d normally inhale on a daily basis. Yes I did have potatoes & biscuits Tuesday night with dinner but I could feel myself about to break. It was either that or scarf down a whole chocolate cake. I believe I made the right decision. Well now I am going to try going gluten free to see if it helps with my skin. I know that wheat can have bad effects on your skin, so I have decided to go on a 3 week gluten free frenzy. Perfect timing with Thanksgiving huh? Has anyone else gone gluten free and had it clear up their skin?
Work weirdness!
Sometimes I get an odd request or two from one of the families I work with. And today was a bit odd for me. The mother I help in the mornings asked if I would go to a book signing for her since it would be too difficult for her to go & to long for her son to be without her. I said sure, after all it was the time I was suppose to be working. And who was so important that I had to run to Barnes & Noble, park 3 blocks away from the bookstore because news vans were rudely taking up valuable parking spaces? George W. Bush. Yup. I stood in line for over a hour to have him sign 2 books for my boss. I wasn’t too excited to meet him though, he’s just like anyone else. But then I got to him & he turned the charm on. He shook my hand a bit too long, yes I pulled away & he just squeezed. And I made him laugh. But that shouldn’t come as a surprise with the true comedic extraordinaire that I am. And how you may ask?
GWB: Good morning
ME: Good morning to you too
GWB: Thank you for coming out
ME: Thank you for being here, I got to miss work for a few hours!
GWB: So that’s why you’re really here huh? *insert a roar of laughter*
ME: Alright you have a nice day
GWB: You too
And that folks is how I made a former president laugh. By telling the truth.

Hello Spinach…
I’ve been trying really hard not to eat so many carbs, I am a carboholic! These past two weeks I’ve done really good I lessening my intact of carbs & sweets. I did slip up today when it came to sweets though, the woman I work for in the mornings has a HUGE bowl of chocolates in her kitchen. Must resist, but I was so stressed out today that I just needed a sweet! But in my defense I knew I would slip up soon & that is way better then eating a whole chocolate cake by myself. So that’s my excuse to myself….yup better then a whole cake.
Anyways me & spinach have become even better friends lately. I love dicing up pineapple & apples to put in my salads. What are some yummy things I could eat in my salad? I don’t use any dressing, so let’s make this fun!

Don’t call me the help
Some of y’all have noticed I started working outside the house (in addition to my online work) and are wondering what the heck I’m doing. Well I’m a mother’s helper for two exceptional boy in the earlier part of the days & a nanny for three awesome girls in the afternoons/evenings. And I completely love it, I’m in my zone when working with children. And the pay doesn’t hurt either. Well I just thought I’d update on that. Oh and I have a bunch of funny stories from recent babysitting & housekeeping (HATED THAT!) experiences…anyone interested in the dish?
