Yes. It’s true. Micah has it. Strength, that is. He flew back and forth with ease.

When becoming a full time nanny/mother’s helper, I never knew the following where in my job description.

• iron the KING size duvet, sheets & pillowcases (I worked for these people for two weeks & moved onto greener pastures)

• organize craft closets

• take the dog on an occasional walk (LOVE it!)

• peel hundreds of colors to melt down into festive shapes

• organize drink fridges so all the labels face out

• get a book signed by a former president

• do Thanksgiving grocery shopping on the night before Thanksgiving

• making an apple crumble

• creating a jellyfish from styrofoam, ribbon & spray paint (which looked quite cool!)

And there is so much more but I thought I’d just make a quick list. Maybe I should just keep an updated list page LOL

The time has come…actually the time had passed me by but I didn’t want to acknowledge it. Micah’s first hair cut is what I’m talking about, just in case you were wondering. After too many boogery hairs, day after day…I got his hair cut this morning. Was I nervous? Yes. But I got through it, my heart sunk with every snip of the scissors but now you can tell he has blue eyes. And oh man does he have blue eyes! Enough chit chat, onto the before & after pictures!

Every time my husband gets me flowers I think it’s a trick. I know it’s bad to think that but…well I am just wondering why I got flowers out of the blue. This time he gave them to me & before I could say anything he told me, “I didn’t do anything, I just saw them at the grocery store when I was getting a drink”. Errr okey….thanks….

I thank God daily for so many things and people that he has placed in my life. I know yesterday was Thanksgiving (for us Americans atleast) but I like to give thanks daily. Everyday I am thankful for the following:

• Having a loving & supportive husband.
• A son that will kiss me goodnight & wake me up with kisses on my nose
• A dad that loves my son like he was his own son
• A family that will never stop loving me (ya know…hopefully)
• Being wonderfully healthy

And yes it is probably so generic, but I know I am blessed to have such wonderful people in my life so I try not to let that slip my mind.

Sometimes I just get too busy to make up homemade mashed potatoes and I have a picky husband who won’t eat boxed potatoes. Well guess what? I made these and he didn’t even notice they were boxed! And he HAS noticed boxed potatoes before, it was amazing! Now I can make mashed potatoes even when I only have a short amount of time to make them in! And even better I add some bacon bits, sour cream, butter or cheese to make them seem a bit more homemade! I was very doubtful that these would past the taste test of my husband but he has given them a big thumbs up! HOORAY! And of course Micah approves, but that’s nothing new. He’ll eat almost anything! So ready for a giveaway?

Saturday afternoon I decided to take some time to myself & stop by the closest goodwill. I live in a pretty good part of town & my house is probably the shame of the neiborhood but who cares with schools & parks like these. Anyways the Goodwill gets in great stuff! Every pair of pants seem to be either Gap or Banana Republic, all with $7.99 price tags & some new with tags on them! Well I got 5 tops, a spice rack & cute canister for $30 & some change. Not too shabby considering the Johnny Cupcakes shirt cost that much & it looks BRAND NEW! I got a Banana Republic, Free People, Johnny Cupcakes & two tops with brands I’ve never heard of (and can’t find websites for). I had fun going through the racks & blowing off some steam.
