Anthropologie is overpriced. Well atleast for my tight purse strings they are. So I’ve decided to get inspiration from them for some things I’m going to build myself. Luckily we are pulling down an old shed in our backyard & will have some interesting worn wood to use. And my first inspiration is for a new coffee table, the Bello Albero Coffee Table carries the price tag of $548.00! I’m thinking I’ll have it done for around $25 since all I seem to not have are the casters for it. Now those hanging pendents…that’s not a DIY project that I can tackle.

Outgoing? Am I outgoing? This question plagues me. All the cashiers at my regular stores know me, know about my life & I know their stories. Am I just a chatter bug? One of my favourite cashiers that I see almost weekly told me it’s so nice that I take the time to talk instead of throwing cash down & making a mad dash for the door. So I guess my flavour of friendliness isn’t that common, even with all the sweet people in Texas. Which I never thought was all true until I saw Alyse French mention it many times on her blog. Southern charm, hospitality, whatever you call it. I think that would describe me, I’m not necessarily outgoing. Maybe it’s just that I try to treat everyone beautifully. We’re going to leave this chapter open for now. Outgoing, who knows. Do you imagine me being an outgoing person?

Ohhh and do I smell new giveaways coming up? I think I dooooo!! Oh and it plans on knocking your socks off!

The day has come. I’ve waited for this day, I knew it would come sooner or later. I’m just glad it isn’t in a way that he hurts himself, he’s one slick dude!

Coincidence? I think not. They even speak the same language. Micah-nese.

Life gets messy. Plain and simple right? Two cats, one dog & a toddler under one roof spells MESS! And I don NOT mind at all, I love my wacky little family. Well except for the cat throwing up under my dad’s desk this morning. Not kidding, the cat threw up more then its weight in cat barf…okey that didn’t quite make sense but I hope you understood. Me & my dad were gagging. Micah laughing. And the cat had a look of pure shame.

As I was cleaning the floor, first I grabbed it all up in plastic shopping bags. And it was warm….I gagged I feared I’d throw up in my dad’s room. And I didn’t want to clean that, so I sucked it up & just finished as quickly as possible. I think this might have made a better story if I had thrown up…but thank goodness I didn’t because I let my sister-in-law use my steam vacuum.

So yes life has been quite messy. From Micah squeezing a whole bottle of body wash in an empty bathtub & throwing a handful of stuffed animals into his bath water while it was filling up. Me spilling coffee grounds all over the floor this morning. JP’s constantly muddy boots. And well my dad isn’t much of a mess maker, so thank goodness for that!

My baby boy is celebrating his 2nd birthday today. And he has started the day off with a bang. Chasing one of the cats around the house. Sticking my car keys in a heater. And well that’s all so far, but not too bad considering it is 10am. Over two years ago I was round, swollen, and well I couldn’t have been happier. I looked a little something like this (this is me at 37 weeks & I gave birth at 39 weeks)

He came out quiet. But after some squeezing, poking & annoying him…he started to yell at the nurses.

Let’s do a little flashback post…shall we? All the wonderful moments, embarrassing pictures that I will share with his future girlfriends, you know the good stuff. So those who have been on this journey of Micah with me, who have been there to lend an e-ear and who have given me wonderful advice. Thank you! Thank you to those who have been Team Pamela & pumped me up on this journey of being a mom. It’s nice to have such a supporting “village” & writing this post makes me sad that blogging & my online friendships have been taken a backseat. But remember Micah & myself appreciate all the wonderful readers & friends we have!!

Micah likes to hide things around the house. I popped my memory card out of my camera, set it on my desk, went to fetch a cup of tea & come back to see it missing. And Micah was sitting at my desk chair. After searching my office area several times…it has not been found. And we are currently on the look out for my Texas ID, one of my debit cards, JP’s old wallet and now my memory card. And this is the reason I’ve been holding off on posting, I had some great pictures. HAD being the keyword.

Micah had been nicknamed recently Mayhem…now I think it will be switched to Swiper.

Usually I try for resolutions & lose sight of them pretty quick. Of course I want to get fit & trim & hot but well….sometimes I just need to down a cheescake, 5 Reese’s cups, 3 Dr. Pepper’s & a bag of Kettle chips…I’m a stress eater, so when things get ugly I get plump (okey just jiggly). Anyways where was this going? Something about the making way for the new year right? Oh yes, I’m decluttering for the month of January. Clearing out all the “crap”, my husband has been calling me a hoarder. No it’s called “I don’t have enough dang time in the day to go through all the stuff I want to get rid of & just leave me alone!!”. Sorry I get sensitive when I get called a hoarder because I have no problem dumping tons of stuff in the trash. I know what trash is & it goes straight to the trash bin. So by the end of the month I want to have enough crap to garage sale, the best stuff is going to ebay & whatever doesn’t get sold goes to freecycle.

This year I’m going to try & have monthly resolutions that will hopefully lead to a year of good & healthy habits for myself. Month 1: Get Organized. Once I figure all 12 out I’ll go ahead & post them on here. I have an idea of what I’d like to do but need to get them down in writing. Anyone with me to declutter for January?
