Last week Micah enjoyed his first day at the zoo. He was determined to be a big boy by walking around, not holding my hand & pushing his stroller himself. Oh okey….but when he saw the any of the fish tanks he would be climbing up me in a split second. But overall it was a fun trip, he enjoyed the animals much more then I even thought he would. Anytime he would spot an animal, he would point to it & just sit/stand watching. The monkey area was his favorite I would have to guess since there was a more structured walk way with almost no people in the area I let him walk around with us by himself. Most of the time he would come running along when I asked him to, but he got plenty of space to run from monkey to monkey! I was just so happy that he enjoyed it so much, I don’t know why I had doubts. He loves the outdoors & animals so it was a sure hit!

Unless he is clinging to my side Micah won’t dare go next to a fish tank. One of his favourite movies is Finding Nemo. I’m confused.

Am I nuts?! Do dusty blue & chocolate brown go together? I was thinking that a living room with deep dark hardwood floors would look amazing with dusty blue walls but JP & my boss both told me blue & brown (men don’t even know colors!!) don’t go together! WHAT!?!? Seriously? They’re both just crazy right???

When it comes to Micah that’s his motto. He loves to get dirty. He’ll slap spaghetti sauce all over his face & eat it with hands (even though he knows how to eat with a fork). He has no problems running out the door barefoot & playing in the yard. Rolling in dirt, yes he’s done it and enjoyed it. It’s just a part of who Micah is. He likes being a mess & having fun while doing it.

Well Micah tried jelly today, I really can’t think of a time he’s had it before. We don’t eat jelly much but I really wanted some to make cream cheese & jelly sandwhiches. YUM! Well I went to put the clothes in the dryer, when I came back Micah was eating strawberry jelly by the handfuls. He dug it out of the cupboard & opened it himself. I didn’t know he could open jars… dangit. We learned two things today. Micah loves strawberry jelly enough to eat it by the handful and chase me to try to get the jar of jelly back. And Micah knows how to open jars if they aren’t impossible tight. By the way I got that awesome stain out right the way with this awesome product I got at Sam’s called OdoBlock…can’t even tell it was there!

1. Are you superstitious?
Not the least bit, superstitious people make me laugh. How could breaking a mirror or a black cat give you bad luck?

2. If you were an animal..what kind would you be?
An owl! Party all night in the trees & sleep all day! And I’d have big eyes for once!

3. You would never catch me wearing………?
You would never catch me wearing bracelets, I don’t wear bracelets because they are such a pain in the butt.

4.  If someone posts a VLOG..do you watch it?
I try to but I have super slow 3G internet cause I live too far out for any good internet service.

5. Have you ever waxed your girlie/manly parts..or any other part of your body?
I’ve waxed my eyebrows, upper lip, legs & my toes (haahha my sister thought it would be funny).

6. Are you a spender or a saver?
A saver but sometimes I get itches to spend, spend, SPEND! But a saver for the most part.

7. If  you were starring in a movie..who would you want to play your leading man/woman?
Leading man…Johnny Depp. End of story didn’t even need a second to think of it. He makes me swoon.

8. Smoker..never smoked..social smoker..or smoked back in the day?
I’ve never, ever smoked a cigarette in my life. It’s a horrible habit that I’m glad I never picked up.

Sometimes life gets away from you & you just aren’t sure were your time is going. The past two weeks have been something like that for me. Actually the whole month of April…can’t believe may is about to creep up on us. This wild child of mine keeps life interesting & time just seems to fly when I’m with him.

This past weekend was a went by in a blink of an eye. Saturday the majority of our day was spent at the circus & relaxing together as a family. Micah’s interest wasn’t held very well at the circus, he was more entertained by my chubby owl necklace then anything else. We saw pretty awesome tricks that my scaredy cat butt would have a panic attack by just thinking about attempting them. Ooookey I probably would try any of these stunts (with proper help) if I had a chance.. I’d just pee my pants while doing them.

Even though the circus was fun with it’s junky food (cotton candy!!), pony ride (Micah loved it, I felt bad for the ponies) & fun show, I think Micah enjoyed going to the park after church on Sunday morning even more. He just LOVES being free to run around, jump, roll and play outside. Ever since he figured out how those chubby legs work he’s been on the move. Well not so chubby since he started walking. Sunday morning had such beautiful weather we spent over a hour just relaxing at the park. It’s so nice to get to spend time with my the top 2 guys in my life!

I’m trying hard to not take life, people & the little things for granted. Not being able to hug my dad in almost three months is breaking my heart, today I couldn’t help but finally break down and cry. I know I’ll see him in a few months (hopefully) but it makes me appreciate JP, Micah & everyone else in my life so much more. What if they’re gone (for good) tomorrow? We just never know what the future holds, so we need to appreciate it today. I know it’s cliche but well it’s the truth.

Since I’ve been going to the gym lately I’ve been trying to get more protein into my diet, something that isn’t a snacky type thing. At first I got yogurt but then I was given coupons for free Yoplait’s Greek yogurt…I’ve never had greek yogurt. Not even sure what the difference was when I picked it up at my grocery store, I even googled it because to tell the truth..I was a bit scared. But I’ll try everything so I got home & shared my first cup of blueberry yogurt with Micah. It was different but very good. Each cup has 12 grams of protein! Okey that is just AMAZING, do you know how hard it is for me to find good sources of protein since meat has been making feel gross lately? HARD. It comes in four flavors, Strawberry, Blueberry, Honey Vanilla and Plain. They are all very lightly flavored compared to non-greek yogurts but I put a bit of granola or Kashi cereal on top for crunch…AMAZING.
