Oh okey alright

So we have a tropical storm coming our way so the grocery stores are cleared out, seriously do people not keep food in their house? LOL I went to pick up just a few things on my list and quite a few things were just not there, water is totally wiped out but luckily I have enough bottled water. There were some snacks for Bruce I wanted to get and they were all out…but they had tons on sale for 50-75% off so…yeah he got 3 bags of chew treats. Oh man check out my freebies for this week, I did awesome!

My baby bump is showing! I was at the washeteria getting change & talking to the lady who works there about how hot it was that day (105*F), then she blurts out “So when are you due?” haha I always have the dumbest look on my face & feel like I have a sign on my head saying “Baby on Board!”.  On the 11th we miiight find out the sex of the little cupcake, another ultrasound! Yay!

Weekly Round-Up!

Sooo  a lot of you guys have asked about my couponing, how much I actually get, spend, etc. I really can’t explain coupon, it’s something that you have to figure out what’s best for you. I’ve been trying to keep my spending to under $100 a week, this week I am right under $50. You might be wondering where the meat & meals are…well I am actually stocked up on that well enough where I didn’t need to buy any meat or meal stuff. By the way OOP = Out of Pocket. Couponing isn’t something you can just grab a bunch of coupons & just go to the grocery store…you need to look at sales, prices, etc. For CVS I find great deals on HCW and order coupons a few weeks ahead of time so I can get multiples of each items.

Oh me. Oh my!

So usually I’m totally sweet to my cashier’s because you want to treat others how you would like to be treated right? Alrighty then. I’m at a grocery store this morning and have a few coupons, not many at all actually (less then 10). I smile, ask how her (the cashier) day is going, and joke around about being one of those crazy coupon ladies. So then I ask her how many of the same coupon they will double, she says she doesn’t know and it is on the paper in front of her..which she has me read through the tiny print while she stands there and rolls her eyes. Ummmm okey I’ll just guess 1 since I don’t want to hold the line up & I’ll just do the rest of the few things in the self check out myself. I smile as I hand over my coupons then she proceeds to look over EVERYTHING, digging through my bag & huffing away. Really? Was this REALLY necessary? No it wasn’t because almost every other time I have a male…you know what? They don’t treat me like trash for using coupons!!! Men understand the value of a dollar more then women it seems like because the men will cheer me when my total drops 100$ past what it was originally (last week my total went from $178 to $77! with coupons). So after going through that line I decided to take all the other stuff to the self-checkout lane because I remembered the girl in that line is awesome and nice about coupons. I only used 3-4 per transaction (3 transactions) and she was smiling, telling me it was no problem at all as I kept thanking her about being so nice about taking the coupons. :) I seriously don’t get why you would be so rude to someone who did nothing to you, I’m not trying to steal…I’m trying to save myself some damn money! Oh and then at CVS…let’s just say this one lady HATES me saving money and is a total bitch to me. :( Why the hate? *phew* Thanks for listening… :)

Have you guys heard about the  Radio Disney Summer Concert Series that’s in Wildwood, New Jersey at Morey’s Piers? The concerts are FREE! Those would be so cool to go to, I’m such a Disney geek, here are some Wildwood nj hotels and things to do in New Jersey.

FAVOR!?!

So there are some coupons, really good coupons I’m looking for. If any spots them in the stores and grabs me some (or even the whole tearpad :p ) I’ll be happy to pay S&H and a little something extra. So if you’re in the grocery store and see them (maybe near the Wheat Thin I’ve heard) think of me! I’ll owe you big time! Here’s a little sample of what these look like. They say FREE *insert product* with purchase of 3 kraft, nabisco, etc. :) Grab, grab, grab!

So wait how do you use coupons?

I have people asking where do I get my coupons, how I save so much money, etc. Well I decided I’d put a post together of all my resources to help those who want to do the same as me & save! :)

Where do you get your coupons?
Mainly I get them from the Sunday paper that usually has 2-3 coupon inserts a week. I also email companies I buy often to gush over their products, many have sent coupons..even FREEBIES!

How do you know when to use your coupons?
You look for sales & match it with coupons to get maximum savings. I use a variety of coupon/savings websites that guide me in my coupon savings since I don’t have time to look through every flyer, check out prices at every store, etc.

What sites do you use to find deals?
- Grocery Game: My #1 source for grocery & pharmacies! It comes out each week & is super easy to work!! If you sign-up please let me know & I’ll give you my e-mail to use as a referel :)
- More Then Enough: They have wonderful deals for Target & Wal-mart
- Freebies4Mom: Great site that loves featuring freebies!
- MoneySavingMom: More great deals!

Don’t Blink!

So I don’t know if you know this but I’m in love with coupons. Totally, completely in love. Okey let me prove why…first I have to dig through my purse for some receipts. We’ll go through my receipts for this week :) Oh wow..okey i had a TON of receipts in my bag. Okey you know what? I think black and white proof will prove how much I love coupons. I am spending the same amount of money each week (usually around $100 for groceries) but now that includes a lot more food, cleaning products and bathroom items. I have SOO much soap I got for free and a bunch of toothpaste that was free. Actually I have a lot of freebies! :) How fun! I mean who doesn’t like free? Oh and green is how much I saved, yellow is how much I paid. :)

Coupons are Great!

Ugh the other day I was doing laundry at the laundry mat…SUCKS. Over 95*F outside and I don’t think they had any A/C on…I was just about to pass out! I wish our place had the hook-ups for a washing machine. That’s almost the only thing I miss about our old place, that and central A/C but it looks like with the window units are bills have been lower actually. So that’s a good thing, I don’t think it’s went over $100 yet! :)

I love it…

Shelf Price: $40.21 | Out Of Pocket: $16.85 | Total Savings: 58% 23.36

I have found a site that makes couponing sooooo easy. I bought 4 newspapers this week (so I could get 4 sets of coupons & stock up on stuff) But I’m thinking to get more newspapers this week on Saturday (they cost less on Saturday), so I can stockpile stuff that is super cheap that I use anyways. If you want me to email you the website just leave a comment, cause I get free weeks if I refer people. :) Ha! I’m so frugal.

Oh and just cause I’m a nutball…I’d like to share the above image.
