it really didn’t hit me about the whole baby thing until i was on the way to the hospital for my scheduled c-section. i started crying my eyes out in the car. and just like everyone else has already told you, its more worth it than you could ever imagine!

ps. if you are getting an epidural, please make sure you do not get an intern to do it! make sure that person has been there for a while!

We did that for my daughter’s nursery (she’s 7 months) and it’s been a life saver, especially for 2am diaper changes! The switch itself is like $5 and you just replace the regular light switch. You can still just push/click it for the light to come on but the knob dims brighter or lighter. It’s been great!

Had a stretch and sweep today to see if that would start me off (40 weeks + 5 today) but the midwife doubts it’ll do any good. I am booked in to be induced on 6th Jan so at least I have a date to work to which is ok.

As Erika said it’s impossible to imagine how much you will instantly love your baby. When I was pregnant with my youngest I was scared I wouldn’t be able to love him as much as I loved his brother. But I felt the same rush second time round and know I will this time too.

It does hurt but the pain is soon forgotten. You’ll be just fine :)
